Due to the light weight and poor integrity of buildings, the low-rise civil brick-wood structure houses with shallow foundations are susceptible to deformation and damage due to the effects of freezing cracks in the ground. The article explains how to reduce or prevent the effects of earth cracks on buildings through structural measures.
