我国民族民间音乐内容丰富,表现手法多样,在戏曲、曲艺音乐中,“腔多字少”和“字多腔少”即是两种常见的、各有特色的谱腔形式和外延宽泛的美学概念。戏曲、曲艺称念白(说)以外的人声歌唱部份为唱腔。它既是内容与形式的结合体,又是人物性格刻画、情感抒发、戏剧矛盾展开、高潮形成及整体音乐布局的重要手段。唱腔中歌词秫“字”旋律称“腔”。“腔多字少”即旋律多唱词少;指句幅(艺人称“尺寸”)宽而字位稀疏的乐句或乐段。戏曲及民歌中的“拖腔”可为其中典型体
