The purpose of this article is to review the transceiver technology for active electronic counterfeit targets mounted on standard-size chaff / tracer for AN / ALE-39, AN / ALE-40 and AN / ALE-47 Dispenser use. This paper first reviews the isolation technology of active transponders, and then introduces the results obtained with the structure of some actual devices. Current trends in radar / missile ECCM and platform stealth are prompting a reevaluation of onboard and throwing countermeasures.
