《沙乡年鉴》是我最喜欢读的生态文学作品之一,2013年,在阅读吉林人民出版社侯文蕙译本时,我就被作者奥尔多·利奥波德那独特的语言深深吸引。这回,读四川文艺出版社彭俊译本,再次领略到行文中的智慧光芒,浏览时,大脑经历的是一次次的新奇、喜悦、欢畅的跳跃。以前只知道作品确实好,这一次我发现,原来“好”的背后有更深的寓意。若写成祈求强有力的政府干预的答辩书,读者不会感兴趣;若写成渲染人们对生存危机的恐惧的册子,也没有看头;在哪方面做足了功夫,使作者赢得了全世界读者的青睐呢?
“Shaxiang Yearbook” is one of my favorite ecological literary works.
