Changsha Research Institute of Mining and Tin Mines Bureau of Mining Research successfully developed a wedge-type anchor (abbreviated as “W-P”), which combines the advantages of seam-type and wedge-type anchors. It has been applied in batch production of Changsha anchor rod factory for underground projects such as metallurgy, coal, hydropower, military industry and chemical engineering. First, W-P bolt structure and installation process: It consists of (such as the left picture) left seam reducer, fixed wedge, movable wedge, positioning pin, retaining ring and backing plate composed of six parts. The tube body is made of plain carbon steel or seamless pipe, in which the lower half (L_1) of one side slit expands to resemble a tubular anchor, while the upper half (L_2) protects it.
