大套花卉邮票《菊花》我早就听说邮票发行局正在着手设计大套《菊花》邮票,邮票图稿是请中国画院的几位名画家画的,由邮票发行局向画家们介绍邮票的特点,提出建议:菊花主题要以花朵为主,突出描述不同品种的不同形态与特色,叶枝可放在次要位置,底色为平涂专色衬托主图。我看到了一些画稿,确实挺好,容易出艺术效果。邮票发行局于1960年11月上旬才正式送来8张图稿,说其余10张会陆续交来,在订印单上写着这套邮票共18枚,定于12月10日开
