This article is an account of Jacintrate’s speech to Hintikka at the meeting of American Philosophical Society. “Philosophical Research: Problems and Prospects.” This article argues that in contemporary theoretical philosophy, there is no anxiety about the current course or future direction of philosophy . The author rejects the proposal that philosophy is currently in a state of crisis in methodology. There are three reasons for this. The first is that the problems involved in philosophy are long-term conceptual puzzles that in principle can not be adequately addressed by any natural science. The second is the proper understanding of human values Can be strengthened and become more urgent with the continual improvement of the theoretical and engineering control of the empirical facts of the phenomena in the natural sciences, and can never be replaced by the latter; third, the philosophical arguments have not disappeared, People have a new meaning and unique urgency. The author’s concern with Sintika’s status quo on philosophy adds that the overly narrow specialization in philosophy is indeed cause for concern.
