(一)《渴望》播出之后北京电视艺术中心录制的我国第一部大型室内剧《渴望》引起了巨大的轰动性效应。有些城市甚至出现了“晚间家家看《渴望》,白天到处议《渴望》”的热烈景象。剧组曾应邀去南京、武汉、大连、鞍钢、西安等地与观众见面,所到之处,都可以听到群众中呼喊“慧芳”、“沪生”、“大妈”的声音。现在已有几千封信件飞到北京,几百篇稿件已见诸全国报刊,四、五家出版社要专门为《渴望》出集子。剧中人的名字已经成了家喻户晓的人物,他们在50集播完之后的命运成了许多人的热门话题,不少人希望把《渴望》继续拍下去。人们这么关心《渴望》,议论《渴望》,……这些,在中国电视剧历史上是空前的。今年元月7日,中共北京市委和市政府,为《渴望》和京剧《画龙点睛》、舞蹈《盛世行》举行了表彰奖励会。市委书记李锡铭、市长陈希同都在会上讲话,高度赞扬《渴望》的成功。市委还决定发给剧组成员荣誉证书和集体奖金10万元,市委、市府还决定
