小胶园种植材料供应分散化,对邻近小胶园有不少好处,可节省运输和装卸费用及减少种植材料的损坏。并可利用胶树行间培育种植材料,更有效地利用土地。马来西亚橡胶研究院于1972年作了综合性发展小胶园的试验,在吉隆坡以北约40公里的地方设置了总面积约600亩、由大小不等的小胶园集合而成的苗圃,专为邻近小胶园提供适当种植材料。本文就种植材料的培育及大田定植的经验摘要综述如下。
The decentralized supply of small-scale plantation planting material has many advantages for the nearby small-size plantation, which can save the shipping and handling costs and reduce the damage of planting materials. In 1972, the Malaysian Rubber Institute made a comprehensive trial on the development of a small rubber plantation and set up a nursery with a total area of about 600 acres and a collection of small rubber plants of different sizes, approximately 40 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur.
