到北京没多久,我就想以动物为主题创作一些大尺幅的画作。然而从何下笔?它们皮毛上摄人心魄的花纹?它们的姿态?它们的优美?它们在绘画史上频繁出镜所引发的回响?不巧我在作画时从不如此明确。绘画让我倾心之处正是其彻底的自由性,我可以随心所欲地画。我希望作一幅画的过程如同做一场梦,无需任何惯常逻辑,无需选择叙述方式,无需事先设定是否要达到一个合乎情理或相反的结果。梦的形成恰恰如此,虚无缥缈,却又真实无比。我们做梦,但在清醒时分它往往仅剩一层
Not long after I arrived in Beijing, I wanted to create some large-scale paintings on the theme of animals. But how do I write about them, the breathtaking patterns on their fur, their stances, their beauty, the repercussions they make in the history of painting? Unfortunately, I was never so clear when painting. What makes me enamored of painting is its complete freedom, and I can draw it as I wish. I hope that the process of painting as a dream, without any conventional logic, without the choice of narrative, without prior set whether to achieve a reasonable or contrary results. Dream formation is exactly the same, nothing is shy, but very real. We have a dream, but when awake it often has only one layer left
