US Army Simplifies Operational Objectives Every effort by the United States Army has to go through a complicated process of planning and can even be traced back to the order originally issued by the President of the United States. The United States President ordered the Joint Chiefs of Staff to accomplish a certain task, followed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff to develop specific tasks, then these orders and plans further down the hierarchy, from generals to captains, issued at various levels. These plans are quite detailed. Both the “Operational Strategy” and the “Firepower Plan” must specify: what kind of equipment should be used by each unit, what kind of equipment should be used, how to supply the munitions, and so on. Various orders rolled down like snowballs and rolled until each infantry had a clear command of what to do at every moment.
