Strontium (Sr) is one of the important trace elements in carbonate sediments and mollusk shell. The changes of Sr content and Sr / Ca ratio are obviously controlled by sedimentary facies. Therefore, strontium as a geochemical indicator has some environmental significance. Based on the study on the relationship between Sr content and Sr / Ca ratio in the Upper Pleistocene bivalves of Ying 6 in the Yinggehai Basin, northern South China Sea, and the relationship between environment and diagenesis, it is found that the Pliocene depositional environment in Yinggehai Basin is upper slope → Tidal zone → intertidal zone, the conclusion is consistent with the comprehensive analysis of the ecological environment and sedimentary facies of bivalves.
