甘薯近缘野生植物三浅裂野牵牛(I.trifida)与甘薯一样存在着杂交不亲和群。通过1979、1980两年的分群鉴定,初步在32个株系中找出 T_3、T_4、T_5、T_8、T_(22)及 T_(23)等六个杂交不亲和群,并且首次发现其中的 T_23株系属“多群性”材料;另外,测出三浅裂野牵牛与甘薯相应的杂交不亲和群别,为利用三浅裂野牵牛和甘薯开展杂交育种工作提供了基础资料。在1980年的观察测定中又发现甘薯近缘植物三浅裂野牵牛的株系中产生的芽变体,与母体株系的杂交不亲和群是同属一群,证实母体株系产生的芽变体的杂交不亲和性保持其遗传上的一致性。
