Paracetamol (Acetaminophen, abbreviated as AAP) is a commonly used and safe antipyretic analgesic, but overdosage can cause acute necrosis of the hepatic lobule, and a few serious poisoning can occur fulminant failure. It has been reported in foreign countries that large doses of paracetamol can cause liver damage in mice, and low doses can cause a significant decrease in liver glutathione and hepatic glycogen content. This suggests that it can be used to prepare an experimental animal model of acute liver injury, in the hope of finding an antidote for the treatment of suffocation, and screening for anti-hepatitis drugs and analyzing their mechanisms.
