I. Overview Oilfields are large-scale integrated joint ventures, including exploration and development of two main bodies and eight systems. The production and operation of the main body and system are all dependent on equipment. Literally speaking, “equipment” is a device that is set up to be used for application; “management” is organized scientifically according to production and management goals. Oilfield equipment management is a relatively technical and involved work. The characteristics of this work can be summed up in the words “miscellaneous”, “wide” and “emergency”. Miscellaneous: From the management point of view, it includes planning, selection and procurement, use and maintenance, retirement, production preparation, and asset management. The content is complex. From a technical point of view, it includes machinery, electricity, and oil.
