信息技术作为一种成熟的视听技术和传播科学被应用在英语教学中,成为现代教育的重要组成部分。改革传统的英语课堂教学方法与教学模式是新一轮英语教学改革的关键所在,这就需要老师在新的教学环境下能够做到信息技术和教学相融合,这一手段的运用不仅充分体现了现代信息技术的优势,而且能够促使教学任务更好地完成,信息技术应用于大学英语教学表现在:运用多媒体技术创设语境,激发学生学习英语的兴趣;运用信息技术,突出教学重点,突破教学难点;教学中融入信息技术突破书本知识的局限性。
