They also overcame the adverse effects of patriarchy and safeguarded the resource rights they should have enjoyed. This process was facilitated through the intervention of the NGO, Working Women’s Forum. This element of the new accumulation process, which exists at the grassroots level in the informal economy, has been certified. This process shows how poor women’s organizations can help them reach economically and humanly sustainable levels of living from below the poverty line and without shelter. Through a holistic approach, poor women even save, invest, create assets, repay their loans and apply technology and management to economic activity, even at low incomes.
