中共中央政治局2003年8月12日上午进行第七次集体学习,中共中央总书记胡锦涛在学习中强调,大力发展社会主义文化,建设社会主义精神文明,是全面建设小康社会的必然要求,也是促进经济社会协调发展和人的全面发展的必然要求。我们要根据新形势下社会主义文化建设的特点和规律,按照文化事业和文化产业的发展要求,不断推进文化体制和机制创新,支持和保障文化公益事业,增强文化产业的整体实力和竞争力。■目前,我国文化建设还存在着五个方面的不适应:即与人民群众日益增长的精神文化要求不相适应,与全面建设小康社会的要求不相适应,与社会主义市场经济体制不相适应,与我国对外开放的新形势不相适应,与现代科技的飞速发展和应用现状不相适应。
