唐山市于1979年开展了一次卡介苗普种。由于这次普种任务大,时间短,加上地震后居住分散,困难较多,我们坚决依靠党的领导,调动一切积极因素,仅用40天时间完成了3个区、2个农场的15岁以下儿童474,405人次的结素试验和卡介苗接种,并对其中100例结素强阳性15岁以下儿童进行了直接皮内卡介苗接种安全性的观察,经过1、2、6、12周对全身、局部和肺部X线观察,均未见不良反应。因而在普种后期对3,000名儿童做了直接皮内法接种。
