现代教育必须着眼于学生潜能的唤醒与提升,促进学生的自主发展;必须着眼于学生的全面成长,促进学生认知、情感、态度与技能等方面的和谐发展;必须关注学生的终身学习的愿望和能力的形成,促进学生的可持续发展。而新课程环境下学生是否享有幸福的数学学习生活,把数学学习做为一种乐趣、一种享受、一种数学奇境的探索和渴望呢?我们应该接受一个新的观念:建立探究式的学习方式比获取知识重要。只有在探究式学习活动中,学生才能体验到数学奇境的乐趣,成为具有“创新意识和实践能力”的探索者和开拓者。
