The telecommunications and postal industries are the basic and leading industries of the national economy. They are the cornerstone of China’s overall information construction. In recent years, the telecom network layout of China Telecom has developed rapidly and has been gradually improved. At present, it has been able to provide data communication services such as data leased lines, Internet services, virtual private networks and various value-added services. However, it also faces a huge test in itself. How to accept the challenges posed by the WTO and how to change its business model so as to play a key role in the development of China’s Internet?
