2004年,是国家广电总局确定的“数字发展年”--这意味着在政府的规划中,我国广电数字化被寄予厚望。 电视数字化包括两层含义,一是电视台前端的数字化,实现电台、电视台内部栏目、节目、频道之间的互联互通和信息共享。二是在此基础上,在一定区域内整个电视信号传输、接收系统实施整体转换,逐步关闭模拟电视,实现前端到终端整个系统由模拟向数字的转换。与普通观众生活关联密切的主要是第二层,即电视信号接收终端的数字化。
