Cultivating students with the ability to initially read classical Chinese is the task of teaching classical Chinese in middle schools. Therefore, the focus of classical Chinese teaching should be on vocabulary, sentence and chapter structure. Among them, doing a good job of vocabulary teaching is also the most important aspect of cultivating students’ reading ability. In the teaching of classical Chinese words, sentences, and texts, the traditional method of combining the use of stringent speaking and commentary should be fully utilized.
