CVN-75 “Harry Truman ” aircraft carrier is the eighth US Navy “Nimitz ” class super aircraft carrier, is the United States Navy’s ninth nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, is the first US Navy to Truman "(33rd president of the United States) named battleship. The Truman aircraft carrier was approved by the National Assembly in June 1988 and was contracted for construction on April 25, 1989.
