花生是重要出口物资.又是油脂主要原料.花生属豆科作物,根部有固氮作用.有些砂砾土和白沙地,种植其它作物产量很低,种植花生,产量较高.邢台地区花生常年播种面积达10余万亩,亩产最高的达六、七百斤.但平均亩产只有100多斤,增产潜力很大.努力提高花生单产,对实现省委打好油料翻身仗的指示,是十分重要的,也是完全可能的.根据各地经验,提高花生单产,在技术上,应该狠抓以下几项工作:
