Ukraine announced on July 26, 2013: It has completed further testing of its “Pirate” anti-tank missiles and is expected to complete the development of the anti-tank missiles this year. The Pirate anti-tank missile is a shoulder-fired, semi-active laser guided attacking stationary and mobile armored target, including MBTs, armored personnel carriers and high-speed ground vehicles. The “Pirate” missile has a range of 2,500 meters and a diameter of 107mm and is equipped with a tandem explosion-shaped warhead capable of penetrating a homogeneous steel armor with a thickness of 550mm behind an explosive reaction armor.
