悦读之前:“活到老,学到老。”澳大利亚有这么一个可爱的老人,他用行动告诉我们,这句话说得还真对。澳大利亚97岁的退休牙医斯图尔特在南十字星大学毕业,取得临床医学硕士学位,成为全球最老毕业生,打破了他本人于2006年创下的吉尼斯世界纪录。这是他获得的第四个大学学位。有此成就,他表示得力于良好基因。斯图尔特的第一个学位是1936年在悉尼大学取得的荣誉牙医学位,之后到美国进修,获牙医外科博士。到了80多岁,他突然决定重返校园,并用4年半时间修完原本需要6年完成的法律学位。

Stuart, a 97-year-old retired dentist in Australia, graduated from Southern Cross University with a master’s degree in clinical medicine and became the oldest graduating student in the world, breaking the Guinness Book of Records, which he set himself in 2006. This is the fourth university degree he received. With this accomplishment, he said he is good at good genes. Stewart’s first degree was an honorary dentist at the University of Sydney in 1936 before moving to the United States for a doctoral surgeon. In his 80s, he suddenly decided to go back to school and completed a law degree that would take six years to complete in four and a half years.
