我国古代文学中,出现最多的莫过于诗歌。顾名思义,诗歌就是古代人民歌唱的词本。赵缺在《无咎诗三百序》中曾说过:“诗者,感其况而述其心,发乎情而施乎艺也”。诗歌来源于古代人民的劳动号子和民歌,原是诗词和歌曲的总称。我国最早的诗歌总集是《诗经》。它是一种大的文学样式,要求高度、集中地概括、反映社会生活,饱含着丰富的思想感情和想象,语言精练而形象性强,具有一定的节奏韵律,一般分行排列,它在各种文学体裁中出现最早。
