“念植林”碑刻于1991年由旅顺日俄监狱旧址博物馆工作人员从旅顺老铁山地区征集入馆,收藏至今已有14年,却一直未能确定其准确的立碑时间,仅能根据残存的“七八年战役”、“念植林”、“要塞炮兵联队第六中队”等文字信息,辨别出该碑刻应为侵华日军部队所建。对此碑刻的建立时间给予考证,确定其所属年代,不仅可以完善碑刻历史信息,使其成为历史研究的实物佐证,同时也可以从中进一步了解日军的侵华历史。
