八户市位于日本青森县东南方,是面临太平洋的一个特例市。八户市在青森县是仅次于青森市的第二大城市,面积305平方公里,人口24.5万人。2005年岁入额977亿日元,比1998年增长3.05%;岁出额937亿日元,同比增长2.81%;商品零售额4089亿日元,比1997年增长2.12%,工业品上市额达到4446亿日元。新世纪伊始,八户市在充分发挥地方优势的基础上,开始创建国际港城,也为日本地方港城建设提供了范例。八户市创建国际港城的战略举措,主要有四个方面。
Located in the southeast of Aomori Prefecture in Japan, Hachinohe is a special case of the Pacific Ocean. Hachinohe is the second-largest city in Aomori after Aomori, with an area of 305 square kilometers and a population of 245,000. The annual revenue in 2005 was 97.7 billion yen, an increase of 3.05% over 1998; the annual expenditure amounted to 93.7 billion yen, an increase of 2.81% over the same period of last year; the retail sales of goods was 408.9 billion yen, an increase of 2.12% over 1997 and the market value of industrial products reached 4446 Billion yen. At the beginning of the new century, on the basis of giving full play to local advantages, Hachinoji began to create an international port city and provided an example for the construction of local port city in Japan.
