中欧的奥地利享有“音乐之国”的美誉,为世人贡献了海顿、莫扎特、约翰施特劳斯、舒伯特等杰出音乐家的作品。2010年上海世博会期间,奥地利馆举办一场高水平的钢琴暨作曲大赛,来自中国9大最具影响力的音乐院校,年龄在14到18岁之间的学生参加了角逐。此次比赛有助于加强奥地利和中国音乐学院学生之间的交流,其比赛形式新颖。来自奥地利维也纳音乐和表演艺术学院、格拉茨音乐和表演艺术学院、萨尔茨堡音乐和表演艺术学院作曲系的大学生特意为此次比赛创作了钢琴曲目。经过4个月的精心准备,来自北京、上海、山西、广州、沈阳、武汉、成都和天津音乐学院的学生演奏这些曲目。另外,选手们还演奏了巴洛
Central and Eastern Europe enjoys the reputation of “the country of music” and contributes to the world outstanding musicians such as Haydn, Mozart, Johann Strauss, Schubert. During the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, the Austrian Pavilion held a high-level piano and composition competition from nine of China’s most influential music colleges and students aged 14 to 18 participated in the competition. The competition helped to strengthen the exchange between students from the Conservatory of Austria and China. The competition was innovative. Students from the Department of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, Austria, the Graz School of Music and Performing Arts and the composer of the Salzburg School of Music and Performing Arts specially created the piano for the competition. After four months of preparation, students from Beijing, Shanghai, Shanxi, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Wuhan, Chengdu and Tianjin Conservatory of Music performed the tracks.
