发动机过热是指发动机工作温度超过正常工作温度。检查时可将手放在曲轴箱体上,若手指接触时感到温热,说明发动机工作温度正常;若感到较烫,但仍能保持一定时间,说明发动机较热;若感到无法用手接触,且用蘸水的手指与曲轴箱体作接触,水滴立即发出“丝丝”声,则说明发动机过热。发动机过热会导致发动机爆燃,马力下降,加速性能变差,并加速各零部件的磨损。
