内蒙古自治区不仅生产牲畜皮毛,而且也是药材盛产的区域。甘草、麻黄几遍及全区各地;黄茂产量亦丰;多倫赤芍,更闻名国内外。特产品尚有肉蓰蓉、银柴胡、锁阳、大青鹽,珍贵品有鹿茸、牛黄、麝香等。但目前关于这一方面的实地调查材料尚属缺乏。兹将在察哈尔盟(多倫县、明安太右联合旂)和哲里木盟(科尔沁左翼后旂)的个别地区初次调查与採集的情况摘要报导如次:
Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region not only produces livestock fur, but also a region rich in medicinal herbs. Licorice, ephedra several times and throughout the region; Huangmao production is also abundant; Duolun Chime, more famous at home and abroad. There are special products of Cistanche, Yinchaihu, Cynomorium, Daqing salt, precious products are velvet, bezoar, musk and so on. However, the current field survey material on this aspect is still lacking. The following is a summary report of the initial investigations and collections in individual regions of the Chahar Alliance (Duolun County, the Ming’ta Taihyou United Banner) and the Jerem League (the Horqin Left Wing Rear Banner):
