在国家大力发展海峡西岸经济区文化建设工程中,福建省以其独特的地理位置与优势,在与台湾省的文化交流发展中具有特殊而重要的地位,高校则成为海西文化建设工程中的主力军。文章以高校音乐教育领域为出发点,从其自身的特殊性出发,分别在传承传统文化、深入闽台文化研究、开展闽台文化交流合作、加强海西校园文化建设等方面进行阐述,探讨音乐教育领域在高校服务海西文化建设中所带来实际性的广大空间和不可忽视的重大作用。
