从木通科木通属植物白木通Akebiatrifoliata（Thuub.）Koidz.var.australis（Diels）Rehd．种子抗肿瘤活性的乙醇提取物中又分得一种三萜皂甙。经波谱分析及其酸碱水解确定了其化学结构，命名为：3－O-β-D-吡喃木糖-（1→2）-α-L-吡喃阿拉伯糖常春藤皂甙元-28-O-βD-吡喃萄葡糖-（1→6）-吡喃葡萄糖酯甙（即saponinE），并证明系首次自该植物中分得。
From Atsugi Akebiatrifoliata (Thuub.) Koidz.var.australis (Diels) Rehd. A triterpenoid saponin was isolated from the ethanol extract of seed antitumor activity. Its chemical structure was determined by spectral analysis and its acid-base hydrolysis and was named as: 3-O-β-D-xylo-xylo-xylose-(1→2)-α-L-pyr arabinose Ivy saponin-28 -O-βD-glucopyranoside-(1→6)-glucopyranosylglucoside (ie saponin E) and proved to be derived from this plant for the first time.
