Objective: To observe the curative effect of micro-transplantation in the treatment of senile acute myeloid leukemia and evaluate the quality of life of patients. Methods: Seventy patients with senile acute myeloid leukemia who underwent micro-transplantation in our hospital from May 2004 to June 2012 were selected. Among them, HLA-matched HLA-matched 58 donors and unrelated HLA does not match the donor in 12 cases. The WHOQOL-BREF questionnaires were distributed before micro-transplantation and 2 months after each micro-transplantation to compare the quality of life of patients before and after micro-transplantation. Results: All patients had no graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), the complete remission rate was 80%, and the 2-year disease-free survival rate was 39%. Compared with before transplantation, the quality of life scores were significantly increased (P <0.05). Conclusion: Micro-transplantation is a new and effective method for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia in aged patients, and the patients with long-term survival after micro-transplantation have good quality of life.
