清华美院作为国内一流的美术院校,近年来,在美术教育、设计及创作方面起到学术带头的作用,涌现出许多全国著名的艺术家,尤其是油画、国画、版画方面更为世人瞩目。《艺术市场》杂志作为文化部主管的国家级艺术类核心期刊,从创刊以来一直密切关注国内艺术品市场和学术方面的前沿课题,产生了良好的影响。2007年春拍在即,艺术品市场经过三年多活跃的表现,油画市场走过一年多的火爆行情,目前都进入了关键的发展阶段。画家作为一名艺术工作者,从事艺术创作和教学是其本职工作,但处在活跃的艺术品市场中,其创作和学术研究必然要受到市场的些许影响。市场给艺术家带来物质上改观和创作材料的革新,同时也会给艺术家的创作带来些不利因素。那么艺术家该如何对待市场?当艺术和创作出现矛盾时,艺术家和艺术院校学生该如何权衡?这些都是艺术界人士迫切关心的问题。2007年3月22日《艺术市场》就市场和学术问题在清华美院举办了“清华美院著名艺术家和学者座谈会”,刘巨德、忻东旺、郑艺、王宏剑、李天元、王玉良、刘临、孙玉敏、陈晖、王铁牛、张敢、邱才桢、李木、文中言等参加。以下内容按发言顺序整理。
