Following Mallard’s postal newsletter, in 1844 the United Kingdom issued a 1-penny postage card with the profile of Queen Victoria as its postage (Figure ①). There are two formats for the postal spread, one of 228 × 187 mm and the other slightly larger, of 240 × 190 mm. The market price of these two new postal products is even more expensive than that of the Maldivian postal service.
