钢球车间冲压钢球有盘料、棒料二种。特别在棒料经冲压工序加工成毛坯时,在毛坯球中夹着不少的料头和料饼,这些料头和料饼随着工序,移动到锉削和软磨。在锉削时,经常使铁盘卡死,影响锉板使用寿命,有时把主轴的马达、皮带等烧坏。在磨削时,发生机床卡死、马达烧坏,砂轮爆炸,以致引起火灾等事故,因而给锉磨工序的工人安全操作和设备的正常运转带来很多困难。
