“WTO ”, the labor market and labor legislation will occur five major changes. 1. Labor Cost Trend in Polarization Taking the current labor market in Shanghai as an example: the knowledge-intensive industries engaged in high-tech and high-intelligence services differ in labor cost by more than 10 times, while the labor cost for simple physical labor is 10,000 yuan Yuan or so, the minimum annual salary is 6 thousand yuan. After joining the WTO, a large number of foreign-funded enterprises will attract more high-level talents with their higher salaries due to the competitiveness and technical superiority of their products. As a result, the top talents who engage in high-tech and high-intelligence services in China’s labor market will be in short supply, At the same time, simple manual workers will be oversupplied, thus exacerbating the two-stage labor cost labor market differentiation.
