早在民主革命胜利之前,毛泽东就已经科学地分析了革命胜利后中国向社会主义过渡的问题,提出了新民主主义社会理论,实现了从资本主义社会过渡到社会主义社会的马克思主义理论创新。这种理论创新对中国的改革开放和现代化建设具有重大的意义。在邓小平领导下的改革开放和新的中央领导集体继续推进改革开放的过程中,都充分地肯定了毛泽东的历史地位,都坚持了毛泽东思想的指导地位。对毛泽东所选择的社会主义发展模式和晚年错误,中共领导人都有实事求是的评价和正确的认识。
Before the victory of the democratic revolution, Mao Zedong had scientifically analyzed China's transition to socialism after the victory of the revolution, put forward the theory of new-democratic society and realized the innovation of Marxism from the capitalist society to the socialist one. This kind of theoretical innovation is of great significance to China's reform and opening up as well as its modernization drive. During the process of the reform and opening up under Deng Xiaoping's leadership and the new central leading collectives continued to push forward the reform and opening up, Mao Zedong fully affirmed the historical status and all adhered to the guiding status of Mao Zedong Thought. As for the socialist development model and old age mistakes Mao Zedong has chosen, all the leaders of the CPC have the evaluation and the correct understanding of seeking truth from facts.
