This paper mainly discusses a method of using Transcend Enterprise Manager for Windows from 3Com Company to determine the physical location of computer MAC in subnet. The background of the problem is introduced, and the characteristics of the network management software are given. The paper introduces how to use the network management software to locate the computer and gives the conditions for using the method.
