Starting from this period, the magazine has added a column entitled “South Vietnam Battlefield by US Journalists.” As the war of aggression turned from failure to failure, the U.S. newspaper and magazines, the mouthpiece of the ruling circles of the United States, filled with a moan of despair and endless sighs, vividly delineating the prototype of the American paper tiger. Many of them are worth reading the material, we will properly reproduced in order to readers. The two excerpts from the following excerpts from chapters two and three of the book New Faces of War by Mark McCullough. In other chapters of this book, we will select one after another. These two articles have no alternative but to confess that the United States imperialists who possess the most modern weapons are not armed only by the people of South Vietnam with only crossbow, picket, sword and grenade. On the contrary, it proves, with innumerable facts, such a brilliant truth that it has always been the people’s original weapon that beats the counter-revolutionary advanced weapon. War, weapons, but also people. However, weapons are always manufactured by people and depend on people for their use. People are not brave and even without fighting spirit, weapons can not fully play their role, so the victory of the war or rely on people. Human consciousness, courage and sacrifice are the decisive factors and the key to victory in the war. The well-designed M-113 armored car in the United States, trapped in the rice fields of South Vietnam, has become nothing but a cumbersome waste. The mystery lies in the endless power of the indigenous weapons of South Vietnam, which are capable of causing enemies to die in the enemy’s will. The author laments that the United States was playing “a new type of war” in South Vietnam and this war has a new appearance. The United States “apparently may lose this war.” To the new appearance of the so-called “new war” or war, the author also uses lots of ink and ink to make it unclear and can not find ways to deal with it in various ways. In fact, “new war” people’s war also. US imperialism is bound to be buried in the sea of the South Vietnam People’s War. Based on the materials provided by Brown, it will naturally come to such conclusion. editor
