In order to understand the prevalence of TB drug resistance in our country, analyze the influencing factors of drug resistance and further develop and improve TB control strategies, the Ministry of Health recently decided to carry out a baseline survey of TB drug resistance in China from 2007 to 2008. Tuberculosis is a disease that seriously endangers human health and life safety and becomes the world’s key infectious disease under control. China is one of the countries with a high burden of tuberculosis in the world and one of the countries with a serious epidemic of drug-resistant tuberculosis. Over the years, under the leadership of the party and government, China has fully implemented the modern strategy of controlling tuberculosis (DOTS) and implemented various prevention and control policies and measures.
