初夏的杭州,百花吐艳,万木竞发,一派生机盎然的景象。应《译林》编辑部的邀请,五十多位中青年翻译工作者在西子湖畔欢聚,畅谈如何开创文学翻译工作的新局面,更好地架设对外文化交流的桥梁。参加这次中青年译者座谈会的同志,大多是四十几岁或三十几岁,最年轻的只有二十五岁。别看这些同志岁数不大,眼下还不怎么出名,可他们当中不少人,却已有几十万字甚至上百万字的译作问世,有好几位还担任了大学系一级的领导。长江后浪推前浪,一代翻译新人正在成长。就从这个规模不大的座谈会上,人们不是也可以看到,在文学翻译界,一支新生力量正在前进的步伐吗?
