To investigate the significance of oncogenes in the development and progression of prostate cancer. Expressions of bcl-2, P53 and c-erb-B2 in 50 cases of prostate cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemical S-P (peroxidase-streptavidin) The product is tested. Results The expression rates of bcl-2, P53 and c-erb-B2 were 42%, 48% and 44% respectively. The expressions of bcl-2, P53 and c-erb-B2 were correlated with tumor grade and stage. Sixty-six percent of tumors had abnormal expression of oncogenes, 26% of tumors had multiple oncogenes abnormally expressed, and multiple oncogenes were abnormally correlated with grading and staging. The expression of bcl-2 was negatively correlated with the expression of P53 (γ = -0.51, P <0.05). Conclusion: The above oncogenes are involved in the development of prostate cancer. Multiple genetic analysis of tumors is more valuable than single analysis.
