In this paper, Rayleigh-type nondegenerate four-wave mixing is proposed to study the ultrafast process of matter.Different from traditional time domain techniques, Rayleigh-type nondegenerate four-wave mixing is a spectroscopic method in the frequency domain, Its time resolution is independent of the pulse width of the laser.
