祁门种是“祁红”茶的高级原料,是我国珍贵的茶树资源。“祁红”以椭圆类型为主,长叶型次之,以祁门的历口、闪里一带纯度高,树姿半开张,树高1.8米左右,株幅1.9米左右,叶黄绿色且富光泽,叶面微隆起,叶端渐光,上斜或水平着生,叶质厚而柔软,多黄绿,有茸毛,花白色,萼片深绿,柱头3裂,雌蕊高于雄蕊,种子圆或椭圆形,褐色有光泽。一般在4月中旬开采,发芽整齐,育芽力强。抗寒,适应性广,我国各茶区都宜种植。

Generally mining in mid-April, sprouting neat, strong budding. Cold-resistant, wide adaptability, all tea plantations in our country should be planted.
