(A) With the continuous deepening of the reform of the financial system, the financial system in our country continues to expand and diversify. As far as the financial trust industry is concerned, under the leadership and management of the People’s Bank of China since its restoration in 1979, it has enjoyed rapid development with the concern and support of the departments concerned. According to statistics, as of 1993, there are 386 trust and investment companies with legal person status in the country, and trust and investment companies have been established in all provinces and municipalities. Practice has proved that the recovery and development of the financial trust industry is of great significance to broaden the field of credit activities and enhance the effect of using extra-budgetary funds.
