天津天后宫是世界三大妈祖宫庙之一,在台湾妈祖信众中享有崇高地位。宫庙始建于公元1278年左右,后由泰定皇帝颁旨重新敕建,1985年再次重建,1986年对外开放。20多年来,天津市充分依托天后宫发挥妈祖文化优势和联系海峡两岸的桥梁纽带作用,积极搭建津台交流平台,与台湾妈祖宫庙、文化界、政商界人士交流频繁,天后宫在台湾的知名度不断扩大,成为海峡两岸文化交流的重要载体。2016年6月,中共中央台办、国务院台办批复在天津天后宫设立海峡两岸交流基地。翔鹍低映蛟宫水,绣帨遥连赤嵌城天后宫以及所传承的妈祖文化信仰与台湾交流源远
Tianhou Temple in Tianjin is one of the three Mazu Temples in the world and enjoys a high status in Taiwan. The palace was built in about 1278 AD, after the emperor of Thailand issued a decree to rebuild the emperor, rebuilt in 1985, opened to the world in 1986. For more than 20 years, Tianjin has fully relied on the Tianhou Temple to play its role as a bridge between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait and as a bridge between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. Tianjin has been actively establishing a platform for exchanges between Tianjin and Taiwan and frequent exchanges with people in Taiwan’s Mazu Temples, cultural communities and political and business circles. Its popularity has continuously expanded and has become an important carrier of cross-Strait cultural exchange. In June 2016, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council approved the establishment of a cross-Strait exchange base in the Tianhou Temple in Tianjin.
